On Wednesday, June 8, the Breaking Ground Junior Board returned in-person with its signature event, Serving Up Home: The Summer Edition at the Prince George Ballroom. More than 200 tastemakers gathered to kick off summer fun and raise vital funding to extend Breaking Ground’s street outreach program that serves homeless New Yorkers in Midtown Manhattan.
We are excited to report that the Junior Board raised over $200,000, which will fund dedicated outreach services to a high-density area of West Midtown Manhattan for another year, helping expedite engagements and connect unsheltered New Yorkers to services and housing faster.
The evening began with special cocktails mixed up by our Presenting Sponsor, Tequila Herradura, thanks to our great partners at Brown-Forman. After a short program spearheaded by Junior Board members and Fundraising and Events Committee co-chairs Zach Kadden and Nicole Napolitano, we took a dip into summer fun with the marvelous Total Entertainment, while sampling amazing eats from the team at Personal Touch Catering Experience.
