2025 TCS New York City Marathon

At Breaking Ground, we believe everyone deserves a home. Our continuum of outreach and housing programs serve more than 13,000 vulnerable New Yorkers each year, and more than 5,000 children, women, and men sleep under a Breaking Ground roof every night.

Team Breaking Ground has three (3) official charity entry runners in the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. Runners commit to raising funds in support of work to help people come off the streets and secure long-term stability in housing. Meet and Support our Runners:

Robbie Ferman

Robbie Ferman is the Co-Founder of Sollevare Group, a private real estate innovation and investment firm, and has extensive experience in commercial real estate brokerage and investment. He is also an avid backcountry skier, hiker, golfer, and marathon runner. Robbie joined the Junior Board in 2022 and currently serves as Chair of the Fundraising & Events Committee.

Will Sternlicht

Will Sternlicht is co-founder of Comfi, a startup revolutionizing residential real estate development from sourcing to stabilization. Comfi is focused on leveraging technology and a community first approach to enable the creation of vibrant homes on urban greenfield and brownfield sites. Will is a member of Friends of Breaking Ground.

Melanie Zaraska

Based in NYC, Melanie is an associate on the Real Estate Credit team at Apollo Global Management where she focuses on financing transactions across all commercial real estate asset types across the country. She grew up in Toronto, Canada, and enjoys hiking, swimming, skiing, coffee and maple syrup. Melanie joined the junior board in 2024 and is excited to run the marathon with Team Breaking Ground!
